Client-independent solution
Dr.Web Anti-spam does not require mail program plugins in order to function. Deep integration into Dr.Web SpIDer Mail monitor means the software runs completely independent to any e-mail client(s) used for receipt and processing of e-mails.
F-i-l-t-e-ring of e-mail traffic via POP3\IMAP4
The incoming mail is F-i-l-t-e-red, not only on standard POP3 protocol but also on the popular IMAP4. IMAP4 allows users to download parts of a message such as the subject, body, attachment, etc, instead of the whole message. This helps save on traffic as well as lets users view messages marked as spam allowing them to choose not to download these unwanted emails.
Highly efficient F-i-l-t-e-ring
The anti-spam was primarily designed for corporate mail servers and so has a high F-i-l-t-e-ring speed. Doctor Web, Ltd., a Russian developer of IT-security solutions branded Dr.Web announces the release of the new version of Dr.Web for Windows anti-virus scanner.
The following improvements have been done to the new version:
The abnormal termination of the scanner when collecting the data on autorun itmes under certain versions of Windows has been fixed.
Scanner exit during the full scan has been fixed.
Sending information to an ES-agent upon delayed curing has been fixed.
The new version of the ascanner is available on all update servers of Doctor Web, Ltd. and will be automatically downloaded to all computers protected by Dr.Web anti-virus during the next updating session.
