The pacing was better than the last, and it held my attention. Cat and Bones still have sparks but their romance is secondary to the overall mystery. All the old gang, minus Mencheres and Vlad, are present to lend a hand which was nice. I could tell that the government agent is going to play a big role in the next book, because there is a lot of questions left unanswered regarding who he is working for. While I am still interested in Cat and Bones, I really am more interested in her spin off series where the author develops love intrests for all of our favorite characters. I can’t wait to see who she pairs with Tate and Ian….did I imagine possibly Cat’s mom being thrown in with Ian…maybe wishful thinking.

Overall, I liked this book. I thought it was better than her last but still not as good as the first ones. Again, my reasoning is that I enjoy the love story aspect more than the mystery. Frost is a talented author, and I will definitly check out her next book.

I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next and how her relationship with Reyes will develop in light of new details that come out. This is a fun, exciting adventure that builds on the first book and leaves me excited for THIRD GRAVE DEAD AHEAD.
